Quiz Item Numbering: Item numbering is now generated programmatically instead of being part of the instructions. This change allows the items to be displayed in random order.
Containers: We are enhancing our application’s scalability by transitioning our microservices into clustered containers. We have moved three microservices—licenses, masters, and standards—from individual virtual machines to the AWS Fargate scaling container service. Previously, our microservices were hosted statically, with each cluster component manually created as a virtual machine. This approach made it difficult to scale down computing power during low-usage periods (nights, weekends, etc.) and challenging to scale up when more processing power was needed. Scaling up required manually enabling a server, initializing it, and linking it to the cluster, a process prone to errors and sensitivity. Our new deployment schema addresses these issues by introducing an auto-scaling cluster of containers, where containers can be dynamically created or dismissed based on usage requirements.

This ensures that imported student data remains intact and aligned with LMS records.

User Trials and Bundles: Any new user receives a trial period for a selected bundle based on subject and user state.
During the trial period, all subscription features are active. Once the trial ends, the user can preview the bundle experiences but can no longer assign them to classes.
Students Domain Validation: For all new student accounts, students are now required to use official district domains. Email addresses from public domains are blocked for privacy purposes. Existing student accounts based on public email domains may still be used in existing classes; they cannot be added to new classes. Class size limitation: Class size is now limited to 35 students. Most physical classes are limited to 25-30 students in K12. Once Exploros classes are set up to parallel the physical classes, it is easy to transition to remote instruction for the same group of students. In this way, remote and physical classes correspond to the same set of students, and data for the class is kept organized, whether the class is meeting face-to-face, remotely, or a combination of both. By limiting class size, we can also design the interface around a known quantity of students.
