The Pack contains associated resources for the learning experience, typically in the form of articles and videos. There is a teacher Pack (with only teacher information) and a student Pack (which contains only student information). As a teacher, you can toggle between both to see everything.
Here are the teacher pack items for Consumers:
Overview
In this experience, students analyze their own spending habits. Then they analyze the Consumer Bill of Rights and apply the rights to food labeling. Next they learn about some of the government agencies that provide consumer protection and they examine an example of an actual product recall. Finally, they write a short case study of practicing their consumer rights. Students will collaborate in small groups for scene 4. Objectives
According to the Gallup poll, each day in the United States the average consumer—a person who purchases goods and services for personal use—spends about $100 on goods and services. That sounds like a lot of money! What are U.S. consumers spending so much money on every day?
Objectives
The graph above shows government figures of how an average American adult spends money. What about you? You may receive allowance or money you have earned doing odd jobs or gift money you have saved up.
Create a chart of your own to show how you spend most of your money over one year.
