The Pack contains associated resources for the learning experience, typically in the form of articles and videos. There is a teacher Pack (with only teacher information) and a student Pack (which contains only student information). As a teacher, you can toggle between both to see everything.
Here are the teacher pack items for Europe: Natural Resources and the Environment:
Overview In this experience, students review the countries of Europe and then explore the climate and some of the important natural resources of the continent. Next, students get an overview on environmental threats in Europe and work in small groups to research and report on a specific problem. Finally, students take a look at the role that young people can play in preserving natural resources and the environment. In scene 3, students will work together in small groups. Although this experience can stand alone, it works best with the Europe: Geographic Passport experience, which introduces students to the geography of Europe. Objectives:
With about fifty countries in Europe, you can assume that there are also many climates and natural resources. In this experience, you will learn about these climates and natural resources, as well as threats to these resources.
Objectives:
Examine the political map of Europe.
Write three questions about the geography of the European nations. The questions should be ones that can be answered by examining the map. For example: “Q. Which country looks like a boot? A. Italy.” (Don’t use that one!)
You might have students close their devices and then project the map and ask them some of the questions on the table.
When everyone is ready to continue, unlock the next scene.
